So, You Enjoy BWWM Books. But Would You Date Interracial?

I was speaking to a new friend the other day (she introduced herself via email after reading some of my books), and she said while she enjoys bwwm books, she’s happily married to a black man and wouldn’t change him for anyone.

So what about you, do you date interracially? Or do you only enjoy reading about doing so?

I would. My first boyfriend was Caucasian, I practice what I preach. 😉

My husband is white so yes. We have a two year old daughter who I love more than anything. Im so happy with my man and couldnt ask for anything more.

I do and I have dated almost exclusively now.

I personally would. I feel that as long as the person treats you right then it shouldn’t matter about race. If you choose to date interracially that’s your preference and should be respected.

I don’t think a person’s race should matter. What matters is how you are treated, common interests, common goals. I wouldn’t date exclusively date outside of my race because I am African-American and I find nothing wrong with African-American men in general. I dated the spectrum before being with a Dominican for 20+ years.

I personally couldn’t agree more Michele. There are guys in every race who will treat you well, but there are also guys in every race who aren’t so nice. Finding that person who treats you right should be a high priority, then everything else should come after that. Whether it’s a white guy you want to date or any other race.
